Odisha Government is giving Scholarships to the Children of Labours in the State Through Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana Scholarship to promote Higher Education in the State. In this article we will provide information like Eligibility, Benefits, Application Process and Required Documents.
Odisha Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana 2025
The Government of Odisha is providing scholarships to the children of Construction Workers in the State. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to eligible building and other construction workers for continuing higher education of their children.
Under the Odisha Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana financial assistance is given to only children of Construction Workers who have completed at least one year as registered beneficiaries under the board. The benefits of the scheme are being extended to the students from class 6th onwards.
Objectives of the Odisha Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana
- To provide financial assistance to eligible building and other construction workers for Higher Studies.
- To provide a Scholarship to the students from 6th Class onwards.
- Scholarship under the scheme is given to the children from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 40,000 per annum as per eligibility criteria.
- To provide scholarship to a maximum of two children of a family, who are eligible to get the Assistance.
Financial Assistance under NSKY Odisha
Scholarship provided under the scheme is based on the Education Eligibility Criteria of the Students. It is noted that 20% extra benefits will be provided to girl children from class 8th onwards.

Odisha Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana Eligibility Criteria
- Only Wards/children of the Building and Other Construction Workers are eligible under this Scheme.
- Benefits will be given to only those workers who have completed at least one year as registered under the board, if you are not registered, then register in Nirman Shramik Odisha.
- Financial Assistance under the Scheme is being extended to students from class 6th onwards.
- Only a Maximum of two Children of A family are eligible to get Assistance.
- For 6th and 7th Class, the scheme applies only in respect of the girl child, whereas for class 8th onwards the scheme applies to both boys and girls.
- 20% extra benefits will be provided to girl children.
- Workers should have made up-to-date annual contributions to the welfare Board.
- 50% annual attendance of a Student in a class for that academic year is required to get benefits.
- Workers should have an active DBT Bank Account in their name.

Odisha Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana Apply Online
- Visit the Official Website of Scholarship Portal of the Odisha State.
- Click on the Registration Button on the homepage.
- Now Enter your Aadhaar Card and Proceed Further.
- Check your Registered Mobile Number or Email Id to get Password for login.
- Now enter Your Personal Details, Eligibility and Bank information.
- Enter all Your Details like Academic Work and upload all the necessary Documents required for the Scholarship.
- Click on the Submit button to submit the form.
- After verification of the form from the district labour Department, the scholarship will be dispersed to the Beneficiary Account.
